This isn't a list of my favorite moments, it's just random clusters of caps I took that fit better under a post title of "partner moments of WIN"... There are certainly more, and better, moments than these. ;-)
I like this moment in 3x01. Jim rides into town and Artie has to brief him quickly so they stage a little scene where Artie stumbles up all drunk/agro and Jim grabs him by the collar to pull him close and seemingly threatens him, but they are just having a quick, whispered briefing. It looks pretty and feels intimate.
Later in the episode, they hide behind this cannon - And Artie's hand never leaves Jim... AUGH!
Even later still, they find themselves facing a long hallway with a floor of acid that needs crossing. Before their eyes even leave the sight, they both know exactly what to do - Use Jim's arm thingy with the grappling hook... But the awesome part is that it isn't just Jim who pulls out the two pieces to click together - without even speaking to each other, Artie pulls the hook out of his jacket and Jim punches out his arm thingy simultaneously and they assemble it together... Like they are of the same mind!
Artie watches in apprehension as Jim crosses...
Skipping ahead to 3x12... Artie has to play dead - Really dead (using a drug) and it's up to Jim to rescue him from the morgue and wake him up. The whole scene with Jim reviving him and trying to get him out of the office is AWESOME and just a gorgeous string of great partner moments.
Artie's disguise in 3x15 is just beyond the pale... A flaming Oscar Wilde! BHUAHAHAHA! Worth seeing on it's own. But there are a few really yummy partner moments in it all - I love these caps of Jim and Artie laughing...
And something about Jim lounging around with Artie in the bar, passing time, intrigues me (not to mention Jim's pelvic-thrust posing is hot.)
3x21 has several partner moments that tickle me to death... Actually, I think some of them are really more Conrad/Martin moments of WIN, but they are shining through the characters... It's hard to tell. Anyhoo... First is where Jim is still suffering from amnesia and takes a shot at Artie - Artie is stunned (but doesn't run) and there is a gorgeous couple of tense moments while the two of them struggle internally with WTF is going on...
In the end, the bad guys rush in and threaten Artie - Seeing Artie in danger makes Jim remember everything and he gets the baddies. AWWWWWW!
Later, they are captured, tied up, and left on a grain scale which will blow up if they try and step off it. There is this awesome, long scene where they debate how the scale will react to various weight situations, figure out that they can pull barrels onto it to allow them to get off, and then go through the motions...
In the middle of which they stop and reevaluate and shift their weight and stuff and they hold on to each other's arms the WHOLE TIME. It's a very clever scene and very pretty to watch them working together this way.
And *then* they escape and have this adorable as fuck-all laugh together where they slap each other's arms in a chummy manner... AUGH!
3x22 has this lovely scene where the Lads pull off one of my favorite tricks (they use it all the time) - They undo the pipe they are strapped to at the joint and slip themselves off. This *particuar* time is especially enthralling to watch because they are both working so hard to figure it out and get themselves free.
The last set is from 3x23 and is a long one... Artie ventures off to explore and gets himself clobbered... He stumbles out onto the grand staircase of the Barkley Ranch and Jim grabs him and hangs on so he won't topple over.
He keeps hanging on...For quite a while...
Then the female-of-the-week finds them and starts poking at him while Jim debriefs him and they figure out what's going on... Artie wobbling around the whole time, on the verge of passing out...
Jim fussing at him between questions.
Then Jim runs off to save the day and... :::THUNK::: Poor Artie passes out!!!
Woobie!!!!!!!!!
There are a lot of caps coming... I hope I'm not boring you.
