Another reason to love France
It turned out to be a weekend of airplane movies and obscure fangirl crushes... On Saturday, I rewatched Airport 77 - OMG, I *never* get tired of this movie!!! And how can Jack Lemmon be so freakishly hot???
Then (because it was on the same disc) I made the error of watching Airport 79 (Concorde) again. Has there *EVER* been a worse movie made than this one? And OMG ICK, could George Kennedy be *any creepier*?!? And after being forced to watch John Davidson WETTLY french his romantic interest at least THREE TIMES, I felt queezy. On the other hand, I'd completely forgotten about Alain Delon. Which is a crime - Because OMFG, how fucking hot is he?!?!
The airport-fest continued the next day... Strangely, I had woken up on Saturday morning with a meme idea I never posted - The top ten most obscure characters I've ever fangirled obsessively. And I had ten of them listed in my head before I was even fully awake... Including Brian Engle from The Langoliers (David Morse). So, how odd that when I started flipping channels on Sunday that I should stumble upon... THE LANGOLIERS! I consumed it for what *must* be the thirtieth time. Shit, I love that miniseries SO MUCH.
*Then* there was this thing on after the Langoliers that was yet *another* airplane disaster sort of thing... By that point though, my mind had wandered and I couldn't tell you what it was about (although it involved time travel and some sort of device and lots of angsty drama...)
So, now I'm on this Alain Delon thing... I've reserved half a dozen movies from the library... Sigh. And I'm never flying again.
