Hell Drivers - When fandoms collide
Too much awesome in one place at one time... GUH! Thanks to the vigilant eye of
eldritchhobbit , I recorded Hell Drivers on DVD tonight... This is rare and not available commercially (at least in the US) so if you want a copy, email me at agentxpndble (at) aol (dot) com with a mailing address - I'll be glad to send out copies to build up my fangirl charma points. :-)
I imagine I'll get a few people on the request list as this movie contains BABY versions of many of our favorite actors from *numerous* fandoms. Including:
Patrick McGoohan... C. 'Red' Redman, Foreman (Truck 1)
Sean Connery ... Johnny Kates
Gordon Jackson ... Scottie
David McCallum ... Jimmy Yately, Tom's brother
William Hartnell... Cartley, Hawlett Manager
It was awesome - I highly recommend it. Lots of scruffy, macho guys driving fast trucks and being all manly together. Under the cut are 80 screen caps and a little commentary. There are a few spoilers toward the end, so don't go if that bugs you. Click the pics for bigger versions.
This guy is new to me - He's a Czech actor named Herbert Lom (although he plays an Italian in the movie) and he has an impressive and intriguing resume... I'll be watching more of his stuff. I loved his character and just really became smitten with the actor...

Patrick is just crazy Scruff-o-licious in this movie. SCRUFF-O-LICIOUS.

I haven't said anything about the lead guy and gal... This is them. And two really spoilery shots, so skip ahead now if you need to. Pic one is *awesome* - You will get it if you've seen the movie (hint-look at the door and remember what's going on here...) Pic two is when the two finally submit to their passion - He goes for the neck... Big, fat GUH. I think this cap is *gorgeous*.
Now come some great caps of Patrick and some not so great caps of William Hartnell... I just didn't think to get some good ones of him, thinking these would suffice... But they aren't very clear.
Big spoiler, but I can't resist... LOL! Even in 1957 manly action flicks *had* to BLOW SHIT UP at the end. Hoo-ya!
