Poetry from 2000

I look to the moon and stars to find my calling
perhaps somehow, to stop my incessant falling.
I look on to the silvery reflection of the lunar lake
to see if my moonlit shadow is just a fake.
My mind contemplates to the infinite skies
Begging for freedom, locked in false guise
My stars, magnificent, proud and true
Surrenders not, to the garish red hue
For when the dark lurks once more
They live again! To appease my sun lit bore
The starlight beckons my every shout
To hear my dreams and cast away doubt
oh blessed moon of moods
glancing at me in an unerring interlude
always there within the facade of darkness
to light my eternal wishes
For at night I lose sight, laughing wildly
killing all of harsh suffocating reality
moonlight blaze, ignite the fires of imagination
soaring the stars' glorious songs of fascination
for nothing in life is greater
than living the life of a stargazer.
