Here I will declare my opinion my favorite photographers in the scene and maybe a "why?" it's a VERY SMALL list as I tend NOT to pay much attention to other people's work. This serves two purposes
1. This allows me to focus on my own work. I have a vision(if you will) of what I want my photos to consistently look like. Deviating from that would not help me get there.
2. Prevents me from feeling competitive. First off it's not a competition. It's difficult to keep that in mind when others are gaining popularity. Again it harkens back to focus. Focus on my own work. As long as I like what I produce, I shouldn't really give a damn what the public likes. I'm not a business.
Ok to the heart of this post.
1. Jessie Pridemore (deviouselite on DA)
she is without a doubt my favorite photographer. She is who I envision chasing after. Her photos are super clean and vibrant. Her eye for angles and composition are phenomenal!!!!
2. LJinto
I admit I may come off as a scary fanboy to him. That's because I love his photos! Again, his stuff is clean and vibrant His editing doesn't take away from the actual photos themselves. You can still tell the subjects are human.
3. Eric Ng(Big White Bazooka)
Relatively new to my list. This guy's got talent!!! I like how everything I've seen is crystal clear and vibrant (see a pattern here?) he takes a crappy space and makes it work for him. I admire that.
4. Mike Rodriguez(blanklogo)
Mike is the anomaly on my list. I honestly love a lot of his angles and compositions. A lot of his photos are magic to me. It gives me a sense of wonder not unlike a four year old watching a Disney animated film for the first time. A wonder that begs me to think "how did he do that?"
I'll add more in part II (I have to clock in for work)
