(no subject)
Hello.
I delivered my first baby on Monday night. I mean, I help to deliver babies every night, but Monday night I did it by myself. By the time help (in the form of more nurses) came in the room, the head was already out. Someone yelled for me to check for a nuchal cord (none). Then the baby finished delivering itself (I caught), my charge nurse clamped and cut the cord, and gave it to me to assess. Then the doctors came running in.
It happens in labor and delivery. I'm surprised it hasn't happened to me before!
In other news, our family has grown by two. We adopted two ferrets from our local ferret shelter. They are sweet as pie. One girl and one boy. I'm a bad ferret owner, because I have no pictures to show you. Hopefully I can declutter and find the camera tonight.
