Thoughts of a tired girl after a long, full day :)

Wow. So I saw my brother Hermann again for the first time in about seven years. Well, he's a half-brother to be exact, my dad was married before, when he was 19 and his former wife was 17. Crazy, I can't imagine being married that young. Hell, I can't imagine being married now, or even in the next few years. I never really knew him growing up because obviously, dad and Mona were way too young to be married and having a kid, so Hermann ended up being adopted when he was 4, even though he was in foster care since he was around 1. Anyway, we had a really nice time. We drove up to their house in Palermo (about a half hour outside of Augusta) and spent the afternoon with them. We met his wife, Jerusha, and his younger son, Tyler. He has another son with another woman (he was a little bit wild in his younger years, kinda like my dad!). My nephew is such a cutie, and smart too! Hermann's really straightened out his life. He's settled down, they have a nice house and he commutes to work in CAPE NEDDICK...for those of you who don't know where this is, think JESS MANN'S HOUSE! No kidding. He's in carpentry and they're building a log cabin down there. Hey Jess and Alex, he and the rest of the team working on the house are renting a place just around the corner from your bakery! Now that they're settled in Maine instead of Massachusetts, where Jerusha's from, it'll be really nice to keep in touch with them.
