Right now, I'm just having a good time. My 2nd term of cooking is going to be amazing. My teacher is awesome. His name is Brophy. He goes by the classical style of how a kitchen operates (just the rules) like no smiling, no whistling, no singing, and talking is restricted to strictly to cooking. Believe it or not, thats not hard because you're so focused on what you're doing. The man is a genius, literally. He's also hilarious in the dryest way possible. He never cracks a smile, never laughs, but at the same time he's really nice and almost jolly. You can really learn a lot from him. I plan to.
My computer is running again. The last time it died it took the hard drive, motherboard, a power supply, and 3 sticks of ram with it. To say the least its been a costly endeavor. But its nice to have it back. I'm never using Itunes again. After a lot of troubleshooting and discussion, John, Sterling and I decided that Itunes was the thing that ruined it. It crashed so bad it corrupted the hard drive, which damaged the motherboard, which damaged the ram. The power supply died when we did a test run on another mother board which overheated and part of it fused to the board. But now all is well. For now.
Lately I've really REALLY wanted to start recording songs. I've hit another streak of song writing, but this time I can actually play what i've written. Yes folks, I can actually play the songs I've written because i worked the music out so well in my head I was able to play the song without much figuring out of finger placement. I also confirmed my belief that I think in half step down tuning. Its really odd but that helped me out so much. After tuning down and trying to play something in my head everything came out perfect, the tone, the placement, it was amazing. I have no idea why I think like that.
Work more or less is the same shit its always been...I've now been told that once the patio opens I'll move up. But honestly I'm starting to doubt if they'll ever move me up. Its been almost 6 months now and I'm getting really tired of doing bitch work. The general consensus is that the patio will open towards my birthday, late march or early april. It really all depends on the weather. If I don't move up before that, or very soon after that, I'm quitting and looking for another job where I'll actually be used for what I'm good at. I've got connections.
