History:
Here! Personality: sassy 1940s british posh motherfucker Agent Margaret Carter is a complicated woman. On the outside she is a strong, somewhat defensive woman with a powerful air of authority about her. She is determined, intelligent, and takes no crap from anyone. When Peggy sets her sights on something, she is determined to see it through to the end, and she is willing to break rules to do so, just as long as she believes strongly that it is for the greater good. As a general in the British Army, and an Agent in the American Army, Peggy is more than capable when it comes to handling high stress situations. She is perhaps called fearless, but that is far from the truth.
Beneath the surface, Peggy is a normal woman with as many fears as anyone else. She is afraid of the small things, of course, but her biggest fear was always that they would lose the war against the Nazis and Hydra. Steve Rogers, however, changed that. When she met the skinny, short, runt of a man that was elected as a candidate for Project Super Soldier, Peggy was almost immediately impressed by his spirit. She found someone with a huge heart, amazing inner strength, someone she could put her faith in. As their friendship progressed, Peggy always held her faith in him, even when they were flying through Hydra territory. She kept her faith strong, and soon it developed into an emotional attachment, something of a sort of love, and she was entirely enamoured by him. That did not, however, impede on her work.
A large flaw in Peggy's personality is her anger. When hurt or upset by something, Peggy lashes out at those who have hurt her, though she still does so coolly, even going so far as taking her frustrations out on Steve, after she saw him kissing another woman, but pulling a gun on him in the guise of testing his new shield. She was able to get over it quickly enough, though the sting remained for a little while. Quick to react to sexism in much the same way, Peggy responds to a soldier who speaks inappropriately to her by punching him in his face. She turns on whoever angers her quickly and while it can cause issues off the battlefield, on it, it makes her somewhat of a fearless opponent, so much so that she is willing to stand in the path of a speeding car to attempt to shoot the driver.
Somewhat of a flirt, Peggy knows how to use the assets she has that are not military issue. She is aware she is an attractive woman and while she is used to attention from men, she sets her sights entirely on Steve, so much so that she entirely avoids looking at Bucky while he is speaking to her, when Steve is in her presence. It presents her as somewhat cold and unfriendly but she is used to showing that side only, and her attraction to Steve leaves her somewhat unable to keep her eyes off him for long.
Above all, Peggy is loyal to her friends, her allies, and the people she loves. She is strong, capable, and yet still easily as flawed as everyone else. She is compassionate where it is needed, and she knows when to set aside her own feelings to ease situations. A prime example of this is when Steve has to crash his plane, and while at first she insists there has to be another way, and that she can help somehow, once he has decided that this is the only choice, Peggy is willing to go along with their conversation about the date they planned to go on, even while crying and with the knowledge that this will most likely end with Steve's death. Peggy is passionate, loving, dedicated, and even after Steve is presumed dead, she carries somewhat of a torch for him, keeping him in her heart as they continue to fight the war.

First Person Sample: voice
[There is a long pause at first, and the sound of movement, of the phone being handled, but finally a smooth, female voice with a distinctly English accent comes through the network.]
Hello? My name is Peggy Carter, I was told I could contact other... residents through this device, like a radio. [She pauses, feeling a little bit ridiculous about talking into this wireless little thing.]
If anyone can help, I'd like to have the situation fully explained to me. It appears that many of us have been brought to this world, with someone else's agenda in mind, and I don't quite know what to believe. [A small sigh.] If anyone knows Colonel Chester Phillips, Mr. Howard Stark, or anyone they're acquainted to, please direct me to them.
[A pause.] Thank you. [And she ends it.]
Third Person Sample: Being in this new world was strange, especially given how things had been recently. Fighting the war effort only to come and be in a world without war was uncomfortable and Peggy couldn't help but worry about things back at home. She was still mourning Steve, she was still trying to tell herself that he made a good choice, even if she was still so angry at him for it. She knew she shouldn't be, but she was also not foolish enough to discount the fact that part of grieving is being angry at the person you lost for leaving you. She sighed faintly as she looked out the window of her apartment, her uniform jacket hung on the back of a chair, her shoes on the floor, her legs tucked up under her as she settled against the window sill. She hated this, not being able to do anything at home, and she didn't know what her purpose was here.
If there truly was something coming to harm the worlds, if she really was supposed to fight alongside all the others, she could perhaps understand what their situation was a little better. She knew what it was like to see this huge enemy, this mass of evil that's trying to harm everything, and want to fight it as best as you can even if it means doing things that are unethical, like kidnapping people to fight with you. She didn't condone it, not at all, but she could understand their reasoning. She simply wondered if something that size, that monumental, could actually ever be defeated.
Peggy lowered her hand away from her face, pressing her red-stained lips firmly together as she frowned to herself, trying to decide just what it is that she was going to do now she was here. Sitting around and worrying does nothing, in the end, and she could not change the fact she was stuck in this world. She needed to be able to help, somehow, and she knew that getting out there, finding a job, finding some kind of network with which to work alongside was how she needs to do that. Still, it was hard, and she worried she'd not be able to work with anyone, given how poorly shit fit in with people. Being so out of time was hard, even if she knew there were supposedly people from times far further back. It was not easy adjusting to so many changes.
That didn't mean she wouldn't try, however, and Peggy rose to her feet, slipping on her black heels and grabbing her jacket, pulling it on and neatening her hair. She had to try, she really had to, for her own sake. She couldn't simply sit and wallow in feelings of uncertainty and loss. That wasn't who Agent Margaret Carter was.
