"When I was thirteen all I ever wanted was a tall, six-foot-tall blond guy with blue eyes, and nine years later-"
- me to my (six-foot-tall!) friend, who is indeed blond with blue eyes right before I hit my head on the trunk of his car
Anyone who's known me before about junior year of high school or has seen my room knows about my epic crush on a certain Mr. Nickolas Gene Carter as opposed to the
fifty bajillion other Nick Carters out there during most of my adolescence. Even after I'd moved onto other musicians and bands, I never stopped liking BSB, and Nick always had a special place in my heart. This is also why my teddy bear/constant travel companion bears (hahaha) this name. People used to give me shit about liking Nick Carter long after it was cool, but I don't give a fuck; haters gonna hate, and I have massive, massive respect for him as a performer.
So recently I just went to the Warfield for the BSB concert and was looking for concert footage; I regretted not bringing my camera because security just did not give a shit that all the girls in the standing room section had brought cameras and were unabashedly recording/snapping away. And I just found this lovely clip. I seriously think this girl was next to me at the concert, because this is extremely similar to my POV (+camera zoom of course). Here I am listening to AJ, then the chorus comes and BAM HOLY SHIET NICK CARTER!!! Closest I've ever been to him in my LIIIIIFE~ Also, I love how Nick has always, ALWAYS been on my side of the stage during concerts <3 Even when I was in the nosebleeds in Sacramento, I was always able to spot Nick because they always put him on stage right, and I usually end up on that side of the hall/stadium/etc. It makes no sense, either, cos Nick is half a head taller than everyone else (except Kevin) so he ought to go in the middle for balance, but nope! I guess Nick loves stage right.

Also,
FUCK YEAH NICK CARTER!!! I honestly think he might look better now, at thirty - after all the drama and the coke and the boozing and the dramatic 67-pound weight loss - than he did at twenty, when he was at the top of his game.
