Arashi Cocktails!

This may be a sign that I don't get out enough or am turning into an alcoholic but while wishing I could go out on the town with some friends (everyone else has got something going ion!) and reading a hilarious Arashi fanfic involving Arashi and KAT-TUN as rival frats (with special appearances by sorority sweetheart Becky; the members of TOKIO as various adult figures, and a frat with parties so insane that the frat was shut down; super-duper-underage Chinen; Club Kanjani; some foreign chicks after whom, naturally, Tego, Yamapi, Ryo and Jin lust/chase; the Nu Sigma fraternity - guess which band they are - Jun's beer-bong-chugging lab partner Oguri Shun; and the legendary BAMF/townie Nagase) I began to imagine Arashi cocktails. Not necessarily what the boys would drink themselves (although that does figure into it), but drinks based on their personalities and personas. I tried to incorporate their colours, favourite spirits (if any) and personal traits into the drinks, and this is what I came up with.

Ohno - Captain Morgan, Patron, UV Blue/Hypnotiq. Based on the ingredients, I imagine this to taste something like a Long Island Iced Tea. The diversity of the ingredients show Ohno's multiple talents, and I tried to pick halfway decent alcohols. LOL. Captain Morgan obviously alludes to his nickname ("Captain"), as does Patron (Spanish for "boss" - well, roughly, anyway - reflecting his "Leader" nickname/status). Also, Ohno apparently likes tequila, and Patron is the only one I can tolerate... AND it's high quality, just like Ohno XD Blue is his colour, so I picked either UV Blue Vodka or Hypnotiq, which is a mix of vodka, brandy and tropical fruits. Mixed with the Captain Mo, the drink is obviously not going to be blue, but it's the thought that counts. haha.

Sho - His was actually the hardest to think up, but eventually I came up with vodka, cranberry juice and Lipovitan. Since his colour is red, I could've just said Vodka/Red Bull, but that's already an existing drink and I wanted to come up with something different. So I figured I'd combine the vodka and energy drink with cranberry juice to give it a red hue. Also, vodka and cranberry (aka the Cape Cod) is a famous "preppy" drink, reflecting Sho's upper-class background. Additionally, it's my second favourite drink (first being Tokyo Tea) and he's my second favourite, but barring that personal connection the drink is still classy and delicious, just like Sho. And since he's doing a million bajillion things all the time, I added in Lipovitan, the classic choice of overworked Japanese men from the mid-1960s onward. Again, I could've said Red Bull to reflect his colour, but hey, he's actually an overworked Japanese man, so the Lipovitan wins XD

Aiba - Someone this off-the-wall and prone to experimentation could only be represented by jungle juice, made with green Gatorade (for his athleticism, sweetness, and personal colour). Jungle Juice has no set ingredients, other than some sort of fruit juice, maybe a splash of soda, and lots and lots of booze, so there's plenty of room for Aiba to put his curious spirit to use. He could even put absinthe (very green, and very danger) for all we know. haha. Also, the word "jungle" can also allude to his side job, which involves traveling to various locales - most of them tropical - and taking care of animals. lol. This drink has the potential to be the sweetest and the craziest of the five, which fits Aiba just right.

Nino - Lemon Kool-Aid and Everclear. A little sweet, a little tart, and hellllllllllla dangerous. We're talking 150 to 190 proof - it looks cheery and tastes sweet, but this will fuck you up. Oh, and it's yellow. That's pretty much it. XD

Jun - Pepsi Nex and Whiskey. This was the random thought that started it all, actually. I was reading one of moogle_tey's hilarious PV recaps, and this one in particular had Matsujun shilling the ever loving bejesus out of Pepsi Nex ("all the energy you need to get through the day with none of the calories!"). And Jun, like most other hard-working Japanese men, LOVES his whiskey. So I put the two together. (If Jun were ever to come to San Francisco, I get the feeling he'd flip his shit at the Nihon Whisky Lounge. haha.) It's not pretty-princess-purple as one would expect, but Jun doesn't seem like the kind of guy to mess around, either with his work or his booze. (Or even his clothes - according to sociologique's translation of Dazed and Confused Japan he is surprisingly low-key once he's off duty.) The whiskey, like Jun, can change depending on time, place, and occasion - you can go traditional Japanese and choose Suntory, or go world-famous and choose Jack Daniels. Or party like a Domyouji and choose the most expensive whiskey in the bar, served in a diamond-studded pimp cup. You can drink it at the posh Park Hyatt or in some trashy club in Shibuya- but no matter what, whiskey and cola is a damn good drink. Elegant, versatile, and tasty but packs a punch, just like Jun.

So yeah, Arashi cocktails. A blend of their personalities and yummy booze. I'm actually tempted to try them out now lol. If anyone else has drink suggestions (for the boys or any other Johnnies) put them here :D
