So, I'm finally in Paris. I can't believe I'm here, and the weird surreality of the French countryside between Charles de Gaulle and Paris proper (we saw an Ikea, a storage company featuring sumo wrestlers and Canadian-style roadways) didn't convince me that we were in France until we hit the quais and saw the Eiffel Tower up close. I got some awesome shots, and - being the Francophile that I am - totally nerded out on everybody by repeating OH GOD THIS IS AWESOME MAN THIS IS TOTALLY MY DAY the entire time the Tower was in view.
The Metro (as well as other public trans) is very convenient, but intimidatingly intricate and CLAUSTROPHOBIC. I got up close and personal with my student advisor, some random French people and this totally cute boy on the metro. This is going to sound totally freaking geeky but here goes: He was like a white version of Kyouya, or what would happen if Tamaki and Kyouya had a baby. He had the refined dress sense so typical of European and Japanese men (scarf, coat and all), dirty blonde Tamaki-style hair, and Kyouya-style glasses and demeanour. And he was tall. Man, he was hot. XD I was afraid to even look at him because he might think I was staring at him (I couldn't do more than glance, and that's how I know a person is hot - I can't look at them straight). :D
According to reliable sources at AUP, men make up a very small amount of the student body compared to women, and an overwhelming amount of them are gay.
HURRAYYYYYY. I have to work THAT much harder. >_<
Apparently, though, the work would pay off, as many AUP students are heirs and scions of aristocracy and diplomacy. Rumour has it that there's even an Arabic prince around here or something.
Wish me luck.
