Philosophy of Happy Feet

I found that these goofy dancing penguins were able to articulate something that could save our planet from destruction.

And it ain't fishing techniqies.

See, the penguin tribe is nearing extinction because aliens are abducting their fish. The aliens are humans, and the hero comes face-to-face with them. He asks "why are you stealing our fish?", in the belief that they may not be evil creatures - merely confused. But they don't speak penguin. He tries and tries, get frustrated, and is just about to drive an icicle through his head when it hits him:

the aliens speak the language of dance.

More or less - they relate and it stands out as meaningful. The allegory is that our more refined points are lost in translation, but that our more primal human exchanges come across.

The humans don't get the message, but the penguins manage to earn a place on the humans' mental map. And the penguin tribe matters, more and more. And thus the humans happen to decide to save the penguin tribe.

Anyway, we can realize that we relate with others of our native tongue on many levels at once - so if we send signals on many levels it will make us more universally relevant.

And if we are abducted by aliens, let's share our cuisine and dances and songs in the hope that some coherence and meaning is received.

Mmm... fish.
