I like Alexander Pope, who agrees?
Sorry for being a tool, but I liked these quotes which I read recently:
"Hope springs eternal in the human breast:
Man never is, but always to be blest.
The soul, uneasy and confined from home,
Rests and expatiates in a life to come."
AND
"A little Learning is a dang'rous Thing;
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian Spring:
There shallow Draughts intoxicate the Brain,
And drinking largely sobers us again."
AND
"Know then thyself, presume not God to scan,
The proper study of mankind is man."
Jason, I know thee to be well read, what are your thoughts on Alexander Pope?
