Firstly:
Nice Guts 0 is back in stock and Picnic on the Moon #1 is available :) I now have my postcards, too, so I'll stuff one in every order, along with whatever else I have just lying around. ;>
Secondly:
I had a BLAST at Fanime Con, thanks to my lovely table mates! I once again met up with JAB/
banjocatbanjo, LMC/
kiwimangoodness, and Christine, plus met Faye/
fayette_nudusk and Emily. You can see their lovely art on their journals. Christine
makes adorable buttons that she sells on Etsy, and I am currently sporting a number of them on my bag.
Emily is a mind-blowingly talented artist who is working on a sexy adult comic called
Teahouse, that I'll definitely be following! I also had a handful of people come up to me and tell me they knew my work from online and loved it. That made me very happy!! :D If you came by/interacted with me on Saturday, please know I was nearly passing out because I'd just gotten my monthly thing and didn't plan for eating, so between cereal at 9 am and a quesadilla at 4, there was nothing and I was trying not to fall over...
I spent all of Saturday and Sunday in artist alley. How much did I make? Well... enough to break even on going there and buying a bit of swag, I think. ^^ Here are my spoils!
The art on the left is actual Disconnect fanart that
angryazngirl brought to me in person on Saturday morning!! :D I was so flattered. I bought a gaudy faux antique frame to hang it up on my wall. Next to it are prints by
Ciaee and her sister, whose website I can't find. :( They had a lot of really moody pictures at their table, which I loved, because I always have people say my art is dark or morbid or violent, and while I don't ind, it's usually in a not-totally-positive tone, so I like finding other artists with similar tendencies.
Although... I did get two commissions for women who said, "I know you draw gore, draw me some!" haha I got a photo of one of these:
Oh, but why's his head so small... :( I horribly undercharge for people who flatter me, too!
I got a book by a
Chinese illustrator which is absolutely beautiful.
Jo Chen doujinshi! :D Her skills are awesome! And a postcard for some kind of comics thingy, hmm...
I came home really upbeat and inspired for more conventions! :D I am considering getting a half table at APE but it is a lot pricier than anime cons, and I have until the 8th before rates go up. I'll have to sleep on it. ^^
