There's so much sad stuff here, that I feel a need to record the happy stuff that's going on in my life, too, even if it isn't too much, it's still something, and it's important.
First off, my Dad comes home tomorrow! I haven't seen him in weeks again, so it will be nice to see him again.
I got unblocked on GtS again, thanks to an epic RvB convo with Jenny, a convo on my forum, and a book I'm reading now- Chocolat by Joanne Harris.
I am only half way through and I'm already head over heels in love with it. I especially love the main character's name, Vianne.
So it promptly goes to an OC, of course. ;)
An OC that I'm actually quite fond of, even though she won't play too much of a part in GtS itself. She gets a brief appearance in chapter ten (which I'm writing now) and hopefully her transition doesn't come in as too false.
But considering the fact that I didn't really establish very much about Cali's roommates, it should work out. So now it's the four of them- Cali, Connecticut, Delaware and Vianne.
Damn Haley for making me want to ship Maine/Connecticut, though. Not my plan originally, but it all ties together fairly well, or so I think. I'm going to need a new main beta, however, because Mel only just got out of bed after being sick, so I wouldn't want to burden her at all.
I'm glad she's not sick anymore, though. I worry about her. I have faith that she'll get better, though because she has such inner strength. <3
I'll see who isn't busy at the time, I suppose. Marti gave me some really excellent crit on chapter nine, and Lei-la always helps me out. ^^
Haley is helpful too but she didn't like the last line in my Wash/Maine and insisted I change it. Glad I didn't take her advice, though because I love it, and apparently everyone else does, too.
