Seren groaned as he watched Willow Rosenberg's tranformation into Sailor Sun. It was bad enough that the Sailor Senshi were in Sunnydale. It was worse that the author was apparently hinting towards a Tara/Willow/Spike threesome relationship. The fact that Chibi-Usa could apparently USE the Millenium Silver Crystal or whatever it was called was, again, bad enough. The fact that it had caused THIS to happen, again, worse.
"Sailor Sun. Why is it always Sailor Sun?" he grumbled to T'Pira. She shrugged, watching the progress of the fic impassively.
"It is simple, convenient, dramatic, and one of the few celestial bodies not already claimed in the series."
"I've had enough of this. They're going to turn Willow into a Sue at this rate, and I want to get out of here so I can have a talk with the Lichen about all these vampire fics he keeps assigning us. Besides, senshi are going to start dying soon, and we don't want that. You close up the pit, I'll start taking care of the cannon fodder."
T'Pira nodded and slipped away towards the pit, making good use of the fact that canons would simply not see her unless she made herself obvious. Seren, meanwhile, headed towards where Sailor Venus was fighting. He was about to make himself obvious. When the vampire that was supposed to kill her reached to grab her, Seren stepped forward, yanked it away, and tore its head off in one smooth motion. Riley, who hadn't even noticed it approach, turned to stare wide-eyed as the vampire turned to dust. Seren looked human at the moment, the disguise generator rounding his ears and removing the green tint from his skin. He smirked and dashed into the thick of the fight. Saving Venus had derailed the course of the fic enough that the other deaths were unlikely to happen.
Meanwhile, T'Pira had reached the pit and pulled out her phaser. Playing the beam over the edges of the pit caused the earthen walls to collapse, closing it up. She turned to analyze the situation and sighed. Of course, her errant partner had thrown himself into the worst of the battle. She should have expected as much. She tucked her phaser away and pulled out her neuralyzer and sunglasses, slipping the glasses on.
"Seren! These will disperse when the fic is properly corrected! Please stop wasting time in pointless bloodshed," she called over the noise. Seren sighed, pulling his dagger out of the demon he had just killed and making his way to T'Pira.
"You, T'Pira, are a terrible spoilsport."
"And you are a bloodthirsty and vicious barbarian," T'Pira told him in a clipped tone. Seren pulled his own shades out and slid them on.
"Bloodthirsty and vicious dhampir, T'Pira. It's completely different."
The fight had stopped for the moment, everyone turning to stare at the mismatched squabbling pair that should not, to them, have been there. This suited them quite well, and the neuralyzer flashed as Seren opened a portal back to the proper version of Tokyo.
"None of this happened. There was no prophecy, today has been very boring, actually. You all can't wait to get to bed, maybe tomorrow will be a little more lively," Seren told them all as T'Pira gently herded the dazed senshi into the portal. It was partly true, anyway. There WAS no prophecy. He and T'Pira had already made sure of that. Once they were gone, he continued to just the Sunnydale group. "It was really a stupid idea to come to the high school. Hellmouth or no, there's just nothing going on tonight. You're better off heading home."
With that done, they opened a portal back to HQ.
"And so are we," Seren muttered as they walked through.
((...Yes, this fic exists. I didn't make it up.))
