Neighborhood.

Last night we sat out on our porch and watched as a few of our neighbors lost most all of their belongings in a house fire. Inside eight minutes it went from smoke, to flames out the roof. One gentleman didn't even have the proverbial "the shirt on his back". Amid the chaos was such beauty. No one was harmed. Though one man who came home as the fire was at it's peak was taken to the hospital after he collapsed. The onset of the fire was such that most were ill clad for the cool late afternoon weather let alone the quickening dusk. Clothes, blankets and food issued forth from houses all around. And people who before were on a "nod and hello" standing were offering shelter, love and support as people who volunteer to do so were breaking into windows, dousing flames, hacking into walls and salvaging meager belongings.
