I honestly didn't think that this year would have me making so many big decisions, but it looks like now I have to start. So my decision about moving to Toronto is official and I've actually decided to move. I don't why, but for some reason, I don't feel creative anymore. My writing has really been suffering as a result of this and I really think that I just need to strip myself of this whole "small town boy" thing and move to the city. In other news, I finally got a raise at work, but there was a small stipulation. My boss said she would raise my pay from $8.25 to $9.00 if I stay in Mississauga until at least July. It was funny because I just ended up telling her what she wanted to hear because I wanted the raise, but we'll see how it goes. So this interior design boy I'm talking to is always way to busy, but I think it's the age difference that's keeping this romance on pause. I think with me only being 20 and Scottie(the boy) being 27, it makes it harder to make time to meet up and hang out, but I have faith that this could be a match, so I'm willing to bide my time and see what happens. Ok, so who else was really fucking shocked last night when it was revealed that Heath Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment. I'll admit it was sad, but I find it weird how our society gets so caught up in a death like Heath Ledgers, but yet, we're seeing thousands of human beings be killed on the news, and we're not saddened by it. One thing is for sure, the new Batman movie just got a lot more hype than it originally had. 2008 is becoming a really good year for music as well. M.I.A announced that she's not going to quit music, but after she does a few more videos and another tour for "Kala", she's going on a brief hiatus, which I think will be good for her. She's supposed to be doing a video for the song she did with Timbo on the record and a video for my favourite song, XR2, which is apparently going to feature Santo Gold. I don't know why I don't like her, but hopefully she'll kill it in the video. Also, Vampire Weekend are becoming a huge obsession. Aside from being super hot, their music is really good. It's funny how out of all the New York bands Sarah has got me into in the last few years, this is the one she doesn't really like. She said something really funny about Kid Sister, well it wasn't really funny, but it was a clever observation. She was like, "she has really good teeth", It was really jokes when she said it. I actually had a dream about the first time Sarah and I met when I was working at Bluenotes in Windsor, it was weird. I'm writing this song about "friend circles" right now and seeing as how mine has changed a lot in the last few years, I clearly have lots of ground to cover. I'll always say though, it was sad the way my friendship with Ian, Kyle, and the rest of the boys ended. It was a really complicated situation and every just got really shady and not was it not looking good on my end, it was even worse on theirs. Overall, I hope everything works out for those dudes because at one time they were like family. It's kind of like this other friend of mine, who was shot outside a Windsor club in December. He was another friend that somewhat betrayed me, but it's like I always say with people I'm no longer friends with, "I don't hate them, I hate the actions and the overall betrayal. Wow, this post was heavy, so now I'm gonna leave with a checklist of important shit I forgot to mention
