The summer has had it's ups and downs for the most part. I haven't been having as good of a time as I thought I would be, but overall I think it's been better than last year. Last weekend I attended The Beating Hearts Festival, which was really fun for the most part. I saw Chris there and he ended up coming to say hello. I think the first few months after we hooked up it was awkward, but now I think everything is cool, which is good. The Junction played and they were actually better than I expected, we started a crazy dance party and drank lots of cheap wine. I met this guy named Adil, who was really awesome and I met his friend Mike, who apparently is the Event Coordinator for Exclaim! Magazine, so guess who is in the process of getting their internship!!. I'm really excited about my possible internship with Exclaim because for years it's been the source for finding out everything you need to know about the Canadian music scene. I'm still gonna apply at Vice Magazine as well, but I think getting with Exclaim! would be better for me. In music news, they announced the Polaris music prize nominees. The nominees are : Arcade Fire, Feist, Joel Plaskett, Junior Boys, Chad Vangaalen, Patrick Watson, Miracle Fortress, The Dears, Julie Dorion, and The Besnard Lakes. I would really like to see Chad Vangaalen take the award and the money, but I guess we'll see how it turns out. Also, there were some huge music video premieres this week. I finally got to see the new M.I.A video for "Boyz", I'm glad that the track was an awesome as Sarah had been telling me it was for the last two months. Also, the new Rilo Kiley video is amazing. I never thought I'd see Jenny Lewis in lingerie, I think the new record is gonna be a bit more up beat, which might attract a new fan base. In other news, my move to Toronto is finally gonna happen without error. I've finally think I've found a roommate on craigslist that isn't sketchy, so this might actually work this time. I have to talk to Matt Hodges about how the Pitchfork Music Festival was. Anyways, I'm gone for now. I'll leave you with some good videos

P.S : When the fuck is the new Interpol video gonna debut, I've just seen clips of it, but not the whole video
