Nice Guys Finish Last (I'm Living Proof.)
I became the Architect of my own pain and suffering.
Thanks to my help, Neo has kept Trinity.
I try to think of it as a Catch 22 situation.
If I took Neo out of the picture, I'd be happy, and with Trinity, but she loves Neo so much she'd pine/mourn for him.
If I help mend the rift between them, they're happy, and I have to stay out of the picture myself, unhappy.
As Agent Johnson put it: "Damned if you do, damned if you don't".
So, ergo, I took the path that some would call crazy.
I helped Neo.
It took FOREVER to get him to wrap his mind around how much he and she screwed up each other's minds with all of their fighting.
But he eventually understood.
And to my suprise, it actually worked.
They're back together.
And Engaged.
She's happy.
I did it all for her. Anomaly be damned.
And then I find this.
Talk about being kicked in the teeth.
