(no subject)
A while ago, planetx and I started to work on a comic together. He wrote up a full script and I began to come up with character designs. While I was happy overall with the designs I had done, there was one character that I couldn't nail down and that was the character "Idol". Before I had a chance to tweak the character to my liking, a 4 month commission job on The Sons Of Liberty came up and the comic got pushed to the back burner.
I saw planetx at Wizard World Philly in June and did a few quick sketches for him while there, to which he told me, not to really obsess over some of the characters because they weren't lasting for the whole story. I can't do that. The characters need to be at least fully realised for me in order for me to be at least somewhat satisfied.
This brings us to now.
Here is the newest drawing of Idol. I am finally happy with how the character looks and feel I have nailed him perfectly. So without further ado....
But that is not all. Today for the first time in many moons I did a self portrait. Ahhh the hard life of an artist. Sit around in the sun all day and draw. Here are the results of that endeavor:
