Two Minutes Twenty Seconds
Remember when you could walk outside at 7:30 in the evening and it would still be blindingly bright? What happened? I swear last week it was Daylight Savings, but all of a sudden it's freaking night time again! I do not approve! Nor do I approve of it being mid-September! This means cold and having to sleep with the windows shut and the space heater on. Feh!
Also feh: Sunday evenings when everything is closed. It's like Europe where you can't do a darned thing and yet everybody vanishes to do awesome things. I went to three pet stores to look for bedding, but they all closed at six so the rats have to sleep in nasty cage tonight. They also got their new hammock all nasty and torn up so I think I'll need to buy more tomorrow. Also need to see if I still have the wheel that came with their cage and hopefully deter Jemaine from shaving his legs and tummy in the middle of the night. Not only is it not cool, but it makes the whole cage vibrate at night.
Randall's been cat-sitting for the past week and I've got major apartment envy from it again. I love my cozy little place, but it has no ladders or trampoline, and it certainly doesn't have ridiculous amounts of light thanks to the double skylights. Of course heating such a huge space must be a pain (especially if you're like me and cold unless it's 80 outside and the house has no insulation), but for granite counters and a dishwasher, I could compromise. Someday. When I have money of my own, and no student loans to pay off because the state lottery will have paid for all of that as well as my Vespa and stick-shift Mini Cooper.
I think I should go back to the NaNo forums and parse for ideas.
