Well, normally people just try different kinds until they find something they like, I guess...

I suppose that's the usual way to do it, but is this amount of variation really necessary? I doubt there are many people who would need this many different kinds of chunky to get what they want.

Well, that's not true. Everybody's tastes are unique. Everyone on the planet probably has some ideal flavor of peanut butter that's different from everyone else's. Having a wider variety of flavors means there's something closer to everyone's taste. If, um, they can figure out which one is which.
