too many dvd accomplished

Hello once again

So went back to work today. Would not give me the full day off so had to go in for a half a day. I work for a company that will allow me to carry over 40 hours. So yeah I will be carrying over about 40 but will be losing close to 5, unless they give me a partial part of Friday off, which is looking doubtful.

Apparently I'm the only at my company who is having this issue at least according to my boss.

Just so you know I'm not complaining about losing the hours. The reason I have so many is because this year money was extremely tight this and the price differential of not working would have meant I would not have been able to pay off some bills. I'm thankful that I did have the chance to work.

I am complaining though about only being able to take half a day off. The reason they gave me was cause we were going to have an important meeting. Let me tell you this meeting was not important. Pretty pointless and it was a focus group session so it wound up dragging on. Really feel nothing was accomplished by me going in today.

But I digress.

So today I started taking a look at my dvd collection. Do I really need dvds anymore? Ok a few of them are rare and have sentimental value so those ones would be worth keeping but a large amount of them not. Have started going through them. What is the best way to dispose of dvd these days? I guess I could try to trade them in for credit, but would there be any real value in that?

Looking at the collection though I noticed that I really don't have any movies in blue ray. I only have 4 actually. I can't think of any other technological advancement that the public in general avoided more then blue ray. Think back to when we had the whole vhs vs beta, Once vhs emerged as the clear winner everyone jumped to that. When blue ray beat out hddvd no one really cared. To be fair most direct downloads coming but still you would think blue ray would be more prevalent.

I'm sure if all did go to blue ray though I would be posting "So today I started taking a look at my blue ray collection. Do I really need blue ray disks anymore?"

too many dvds, 30 day
