Brendan had been surprised to find his name on the list of nominees, and not a little flattered. He'd never considered politics before, but he figured there was a first time for everything.
He put his petition on the board where people would see it, and was halfway down the boardwalk when he realized if he was nominated, that it would probably require some kind of public-speaking.
