It's Monday, like any other Monday.
So about The Passion of the Christ:
A powerful movie, anyway you look at it, though it helps if you're relatively familiar with the Bible and the story surrounding the period in which the movie takes place. I've seen some brutal movies in my lifetime, but as far as sustained, on-screen brutality goes, this one takes 1st prize. The scene in which Jesus is beat almost to death was hard to watch from an emotional and graphic standpoint - it's hard to believe that people could be so cruel and hate so much, and harder to believe that anyone would willingly put themselves through it, let alone so that they could save the very people who were killing them.
People can say what the want, but this WILL be a film that is long remembered - for it's controversy, for it's graphic depiction of suffering, and as a renewal of faith for those who believe in the message.
