NORWESCON LOOMS!!!
I SO can't wait for work to be over today. I finish at 10:30pm and then drive over to my friend Greg's place as he wants to take his car down to Norwescon. No lineups at the border and more importantly no traffic along the I-5 as we drive down to Cory's house and stay overnight. Thursday morning get some groceries, drive a few miles to the Doubletree before noon and avoid parking problems, and we're set for the weekend!
At least that's how it should go. Still don't know how it will be at work today and I certainly hope it's not going to be like yesterday. Some one got his whiny wife to handle his course outline requests and she called me anywhere from 6-8 times in 3 hrs giving me bits of information to work with. She actually wanted to read her husband's transcript over the phone instead of sending a copy by fax or email. For one thing, their phone wasn't particularly clear so even just talking to her was difficult and you want to give me detailed information that you'd have to repeat once or twice each time for me to get everything right? Sorry I don't have half an hour (at the least) to stay on the phone when you can spend the same amount of time getting everything together in a neat package and send it off to me instead of calling me every 10-20 mins for me to write notes about. And they wanted their request the next day as they were passing by. Well next time try calling a few days in advance instead of thinking you're the only one I'm dealing with that day. Only satisfaction I get out of this is that I get to charge them for this service.
I hope to have everything off my IN box today and enjoy this LONG weekend.
