Lackluster Feelings

I am deeply apathetic about The Dark Knight Rises. As soon as the title was released I hung my head in disappointed and walked away from any expectations. The cast, for the characters, is uninspiring and though I may be pleasantly surprised by Tom Hardy as I was by Cillian Murphy & Heath Ledger, there is such little room for hope in my heart for Anne Hathaway that I shudder to imagine how Nolan will botch this up. He cannot write women. He cannot cast women. He seems to cast purely on appearance basis only and on that merit alone, Anne Hathaway wins. But a photo shoot this is not and her acting chops (or there lack of) are going to be really put to the test. She has ever yet to impress me and I grow wearier as time marches toward TDKR's release date.

Am I alone in my feelings? Anyone else out there closing their eyes against teasers, plugging their ears on updates and simply wishing for the best?

I finally got caught up with Gotham City Sirens - although I skipped the Selina Kyle centric issue for now because, well, she just doesn't interest me right now. Got interesting eventually, didn't it? Although, is it just me or does Ivy seem a little too...melodramatic? A bit Mexican soap opera-y?
I kind of half expect her to fall into a coma only to be woken up by her twin sister - DA DA DUUUUN.

Despite never playing Arkham Asylum (and owning no game consoles) I picked up the Arkham City comics because not only do they look fun but the "OMG!" and "OOOH! AHHHH!" from zuzuhaha and her Mister were too much to bare. Of course, I haven't cracked them open yet ;P
Also, after living with their impressive collection of Joker & Harley Quinn figurines & collectibles for two weeks I've been actually paying attention to the goodies my comic book store holds. Sighing. Dreaming. Waiting...

I'd like to pick up the Zatanna volume out now - worth it? Y/N?
