Gotham City Sirens, Batman sushi, and Harley/Ivy goodness
Firstly:
I follow Paul Dini on Twitter and he posted Sneak Peek at Gotham City Sirens ~ in case anyone is interested :)
Secondly:
lalondon13 and I hung out this last weekend and our mission was to discover the illustrious Batman sushi at a local sushi joint near her house. I knew I had to be nervous when I discovered that there is a mysterious mayo sauce doused on all of the sushi rolls. As far as I'm concerned, mayo does NOT belong on sushi. I first saw this frightening addition in a sushi restaurant on Oxford Street in Sydney, Australia. When the sushi chef heard my accent, he was smart to ask me if I wanted mayo on my sushi. NONE FOR I, GOOD SIR! Far be it for me, someone who ate peanut butter and onion sandwiches as a preteen, to ever judge another person's eating habits, but I will pass on mayo + sushi every time. I'm just not that adventurous.
To add insult to injury, the Batman roll had mackerel on top. Mackerel! Of all the fucking fish in the fucking ocean, why the ONE sushi I loathe above all else? ::shakes head:: Inside the sushi was squash (I don't know what kind and I was too afraid to ask) and scallions.
If it's not one thing, it's another. If it isn't the sushi chef asking if I prefer Best Foods or Kraft, it's the nastiest fish in the deep blue being slapped on my Batman roll.
I would have preferred it taste like justice and left me with the satisfaction of a opening up a can of whoop-ass, but sadly it tasted just like Gotham City; gritty, grimy, fishy. SUSHI FAIL! But a lulzy story to tell, so there you go.
