As for your Neal Caffrey rec, I believe that Asdfghjkl is an appropriate response because GOOD LORD. Matt Bomer shouldn't be legal.

You're making me ship Peter and Lydia and I don't know how to feel about that. haha. I can't get on the Sterek train because of the age difference (statutory rape squick) so enter my confusion about why this video appealed to me. LOL.
Oh, there's SO many reasons why my fondness for Peter/Lydia gives me the conflicted feels! He attacked her, completely terrorized her, used her to bring himself back to life, AND there's a huge age difference between them with her being underage as well. :S (I think I automatically age-up all of the young characters or I'd feel like the world's most horrible person. *blush* :S )
However, I've always had a fondest for interesting bad guys and where I'm interested in a character, I'm going to start shipping them, it's just how I'm wired, I suppose! ;) I also think that, if things had played out very differently, (always!aged!up!to!me!)Lydia ;) and Peter allied together would be an unstoppable force! They could definitely create some havoc and I'd really find that interesting to see play out.
It also doesn't help that Ian Bohen and Holland Roden are clearly such good friends and they have such awesome chemistry together. ;) There's an 11 year age difference between them in RL but 25 and 36 is a lot better than however old Lydia and Peter are both supposed to be, considering how young she is. (Except in my own personal fanon *sticks fingers in ears and "lalala's"* ;) )
Oy, speaking of the statutory rape squick... that hit me SO hard in the ep where Erica and Boyd left Derek and she says the line about wanting to turn 16 and drive and I mentally went, "HO CRAP, SHE'S 15???" and wanted to crawl under the rug with all of my Derica shippiness and hide forever! :S I also ship her with Isaac, Boyd and Stiles -- not all at the same time ;) -- but Derek was my main Erica shipmate until I considered he's, what? Supposed to be like 22 - 24? :S
I already felt guilty because of the way he used sex/flirting to manipulate her into taking the bite. :S I definitely didn't find that to be his finest hour, for all that I love him, though I think it was telling that he used the same tactic on her that Kate had used on him (but even worse) when he was Erica's age. :( So my Derica feels also trouble me for a variety of reasons. :( And vids like this also don't help. ;) (I'm going to add that in to main post as well so if you want to see the embed instead of following the link, it's up there. *points* ;) )

haha. Ok, good. Glad it's not just me. (I actually heard something like Derek may actually be in his 30s? I can't remember how or where that came from but I remember when I heard it I was like "OH PLEASE THANK YOU GOD, he'll be my age and I can stop feeling like a cougar! At least for Derek. As for Tyler, we will not speak of it." I always separate characters from "real people" and I find myself more attracted to characters. I usually don't get into the whole RPF or whatever, but I can say I at least see HO'Brien as a ship more than Sterek. At least the RP are of age... which is probably also why Ian/Holland appeal to me. Man, I think my brain needs rewired. hahaha.
As for Derica! OMG! I didn't even make the connection of (a) she's fifteen! and (b) what you said about Kate and Derek and then Derek and Erica. OMG. Mind. Blown.

Ohhhh man, that's the only way I can deal with these characters! Everybody ages-up, pronto, lol! ;)

I remember hearing something like that, too, something about Derek being a lot older than we thought. I can't figure out how that'll fit with the timeline of Kate being older than him back when she used him to get to his family ('cause that'll age her up, too, for how old she was when she came back to town) and Stiles told us in ep 1 (and Peter repeated it as well) that it had been about 6 years since the fire that killed most of the Hales and that was when Derek was a teenager. And Stiles also said something about Derek being "a few" years older than he and Scott... It'll be interesting to see how they work that all out, then! ;)
And I'm the same way, I always go for the characters, not necessarily the actors (it's just so much tidier for me, that way if the actor turns out to be not-so-awesome, I can still try to enjoy the character -- within reason, anyway ;) ). But I do love it to pieces when the actors are clearly such awesome friends in RL and seem to really enjoy being with each other! And I swear, I've been trying SO HARD not to ship Ian/Holland in RL but if you watch enough of them together, they make it Very Difficult, lol! ;) But apparently they're just friends so I definitely respect that. ;)

Oh man, like I said, when I realized I was shipping a 15 year old girl with a grown man, I felt like such pond scum. Then I flashed myself with one of those Men In Black light things, applied some Torchwood-style retcon and went back to believing that Erica is just as aged-up as I consider all the rest of the characters to be and crawled out from under the couch and watched some more Derica vids... ;)
I read that about the connection between Kate and Derek and what Derek did to Erica somewhere on Tumblr and it totally blew my mind as well. That was some smooth writing to include it like that if it was a deliberate call back to how Derek was abused at that same age. It's like that's all he knows in how to relate to a girl/woman. How very sad. :( :( :(
