Okay, I have to admit I was a little disappointed that you paused Lustraverse to work on this, but wow. I'm okay with it now. :-) This is beautiful. And hot.
This was really wonderful. You did a fantastic job of showing a very reasonable and actually very sympathetic view of both Meg and Ruby without letting us forget for a moment that they're both demons. Thank you for sharing it.
What a wonderful read! I love stories that explore Sam and Ruby's relationship, but especially from Ruby's perspective. This was wonderfully done, most of all the last section with the alternating scenes slotting together so perfectly.
Thank you. This is the first story I've written with Ruby, but I've always found her motivation to be really interesting, even without the complication of possibly falling for her charge (who happens to be her king, her messiah).
We made it, hon! When I was reading your draft I kept highlighting sentences. There’s no regal bearing in this boyking. His shoulders rise up, his head ducks low. He’s a full 6’4 and yet he is every inch a small man, looking up at everyone around him. Looking up at that brother of his. Ruby tosses her dark hair. “He wants a clear conscience.” because he’s complicated and he doesn’t talk and he’s both darker and way more idealistic than she imagined he’d be. And lots more hit me real hard. I especially love Sam's like a king lying on the pyre Her broken King lays on a pyre with a torch in his hand. Just brilliant :)

And thank you for your comments on the story itself. I wanted it to be worthy.
