Twist-Off

I was assassinated this weekend, but the guy was caught and his entire family murdered.  kind of a harsh punishment, but i'm just a lowly Baron from another kingdom, and wasn't the only victim.  However the King wanted to deal with the problem is all of his concern and little of mine.

In other news, my team lost the match last night.  Boo!  I forget the final score, but it was abysmal.  It didn't even look like they wanted to be there, poor things.  At least they look good.  Go Speed Regime!  I have yet to decide between attending Gauntlet (which, despite being much farther away than Feast of Dead is, would actually be an in-kingdom event for me) and going to the CCRG Championship bout.  :-\  If we came back a day early from Gauntlet, we could make the Sunday night game, but miss a day of Gauntlet festivities.  And we might even miss the game anyway, because Gauntlet's a bit of driving distance.  I guess we'll see how it plays out.

I wrote nothing this weekend.  Boo!  Today I have some stuff to do for work, but then I want to do one or two of the three of: write Rosebush, edit Untrustworthy, or write more of this app I'm doing for this sort of exclusive community that I only have one chance to apply for so I better not screw it up.  I've been giving the app questions a lot of thought, but I still have to write it out.

I have practice tonight for the band.  I'm psyched because we haven't met up for about two weeks, which has sucked.  I'm also psyched because I found a box of reeds and don't have to play on the one I have that's pretty well played out already.  I could trim it - haphazard youth taught me such skills as trimming reeds on the fly and replacing joint cork with electrical tape - but it wouldn't have the sound I'd want.  Aside from not actually being cracked or chipped yet, the wood itself is just... played out.  The tone's flat - not flat, because I don't play flat, thanks to my killer embouchre, but flat, as in inexpressive, which I dislike.  I like the taste of a brand new reed.

music, rosebush, larp, ccrg
