... paper dolls and people, they're a similar shape.
yes, flight of the conchords is my new favourite show, thank you colin. check them out on tv-links.co.uk, or HBO onDemand. especially if you like the new zealand accent. that, you know, robotic monotone.
in rosebush news: i'm on chapter 9 and have broken 50k words. now if i do nano, i'll know how many that really is, and i'll know that it's taken me about three months to actually write that many. -_-; i figure i'm around a third to a quarter done with the book, and then i'll trim out what doesn't need to be there. over time, see, i drop threads of plot that i don't like anymore, or hint at things that i actually don't need to foreshadow because it'll be too obvious, and soooo yeah. i think at 200k, i'll be able to trim and get a size of book that i'd like to read myself. not much into flimsy 300 pagers, ya kno?
i've also got myself an editor, z, and she's just gotten through what i've writ and asked me all of the questions she had. now that she's all caught up, i can ask her such things as "wtf do i write now?" and "yabbut, how do i get there" and such. i feel vindicated a bit by her gasps of "what?!" when i told her certain things, because i'd been worried that i was being too obvious. now it seems like i'll have to quirk it up a bit to make sure certain revelations don't come out of the blue. i swear it's all planned out and not pulled out of my ass.
walkable house:
how walkable is your house? from
knilewhere I live now, in baltimore: 82
where I lived then, in indiana: 54
i should at this point note that my indiana score actually listed every little place in the town, because it's that small. obviously you can walk to everywhere from any point in town. but yeh.
in other news: i've updated my facebook to reflect certain developments.
