....to those who answered my inquiry about "comfortable". My mom-I can't remember the context of the conversation now-pointed out that my pronunciation was off, and considered it rather ironic as I can often be rather anal about grammar. I think she's simply remembering that I get particularly offended by the gross misuse of "there's" and "there're" and a lack of "the" (as in sounding like "thee") in front of vowel/vowel sounds. Also, the use of "less" when it should be "fewer". Just imagine..."There's less people in the office now." I'd probably croak.
Anyway, I was just wondering what the general consensus was (in my oh-so-scientific poll), even though dictionary.com, at least, tells me that both pronunciations are correct (I never meant to imply that my mom's preference was incorrect, but rather that, at least colloquially speaking, three was the generally accepted norm).
