This is a failed attempt at writing a Camping-inspired ficlet XD (And yes, I know I’m a million years late, but I did start writing this when the photobook came out and wasn’t able to finish straight away =x); and then I was looking at
THIS Yunho pic and my friend Alice commented that the length of Yunho’s... sausage, there, was quite impressive. Something like:
Alice: “...you know, I noticed that sausage even before noticing him.”
Hoshi: *dies*
…and this is where this fic comes from XD;
“Yunho-sshi, please look directly into the camera and smile, now” the photographer instructs, “and please hold that sausage up, it must show. As if you were a real camper cooking his lunch.”
Yunho nods and smiles weakly, feeling more like a Perfect Idiot than a Perfect Camper; and he is also starting to wonder about the photographer's sadistic streak, because the guy had told him, with a perfectly straight face, that the barbecue needed to be on for real to add to the scene’s realism. Fuck realism, Yunho thinks, trying to look at least alive with the smouldering coals' heat in his face and the sun’s glare on his head.
To make things worse, Jaejoong is sprawled messily on a deck chair a few meters away, watching him with the air of someone who just needs popcorn to make their life complete.
“I didn't know you were so good at handling sausages” he says slyly, the second the photographer turns his back on them and strays away to take a few shots of Yoochun in the lake, and Yunho sort of wonders if Jaejoong's flirting with him or just laughing at him. Even if, knowing Jaejoong, it's probably both.
“And I thought we were supposed to look hot and manly? Unlike those morons over there, I mean.” He flicks his head at Yoochun and Junsu, who are frolicking in the lake and splashing water at each other like children, blissfully ignoring the photographer waving frantically at them.
“I do look manly!” Yunho protests, a little too vehemently. And hot, he mutters darkly, trying to fan his sweaty face with the hem of his shirt.
Jaejoong gives him a skeptical look. “You'd probably look manlier if you'd lose the hat. And the sausage too. Because as of now there’s only one adjective I can think of, and it's quite different from manly.”
The band leader snorts, refusing to back down. “Admit it, you're just annoyed I'm handling the wrong sausage, aren't you,” he teases.
“I'm not jealous of a sausage!” Jaejoong protests with a childish pout. Yunho laughs, and when Jaejoong gets up from the deckchair and comes closer he holds the sausage in front of his face.
“Here, try it and tell me if it's good enough. We could as well eat these things, instead of using them just to make me look retarded.”
Jaejoong eyes the sausage suspiciously and then Yunho. “You're not trying to make innuendos, are you?” he asks. Yunho gives him a mock suffering look that clearly says yours are enough for both of us and wiggles the sausage in a way that makes Jaejoong explode into another fit of giggles; clearly the sight of his fearless leader standing there like a martyr, with a ridiculous hat on his head and a damn sausage in his hands is extremely entertaining, Yunho muses dryly, and hopes he’ll never have to face the humiliation of going through the photoshoot pictures when his bandmates are present.
Jaejoong takes a bite gingerly, seemingly not trusting the other man's culinary ability, and his eyes widen in surprise.
“Hey, it's actually good!” he sputters, with his mouth full. The disapproving look Yunho sends him reminds Jaejoong vaguely of his own mother.
He takes another, bigger bite, and Yunho smiles, looking very pleased with himself; Jaejoong feels the sudden urge to kiss him and his goofy grin senseless.
“Well?” Yunho says, as if he'd been reading his mind, “Doesn't the cook deserve a kiss?”
“He does indeed.” The leader catches the mischievous glint in Jaejoong's eyes and looks around to see if anybody's watching in their direction; Jaejoong shifts, snakes his arms around Yunho's waist as subtly as he can, and Yunho feels the press of soft lips against the side of his neck.
“Jaejoong?”
“Mhmm?”
“Your lips are greasy” he comments distractedly, too focused on the feel of Jaejoong's fingers sneaking under his shirt and drawing small circles on his belly to really mind. The lead singer laughs into Yunho's neck, covers his skin with more small, greasy kisses.
“Sorry.” he says, not sounding apologetic at all. The next thing Yunho feels is the swipe of a warm, wet tongue on his neck, lapping at his skin like a cat's.
“Do I taste good?” he asks jokingly, squirming a little under Jaejoong's playful licks.
“You taste like Yunho and sausage grease. An interesting combination.”
“Moron” Yunho says fondly, tugs on Jaejoong's arms until the lead singer cranes his neck forward and lets Yunho steal a kiss from the corner of his mouth.
“Mmm, that wasn't bad, but I think I need another taste to judge.”
“Oh, is that so?” Jaejoong whispers in his ear, turns him around so they're facing each other. The kiss is slow and sweet, but Jaejoong pulls away too soon, and there's an unsatisfied frown on his face. He licks his thumb and rubs the spot just above Yunho's upper lip, effectively removing all the make-up off his mole.
“There,” he says with satisfaction, locking his lips with Yunho's once more, “much better.”
This time the kiss lasts considerably longer, and the sole reason why Yunho pulls away are the curses and the cries for help coming from the lake.
“Stop tormenting Yoochun!” he bellows at Changmin and Junsu, who are trying to drown the other man in the - now brown and muddy - waters of the stream. His two bandmates give him a thumb up and a grin and go back to their activity.
Yunho shoots Jaejoong an exasperated look. “The kids are playing dangerous again” he sighs, stepping out of Jaejoong's embrace. “I think I need to go and save Yoochun.”
“I'm coming with you,” Jaejoong growls dangerously. “I want to drown those two myself, for interrupting once more.”
“I thought you were used to that, by now.”
“Being the eldest is hard” Jaejoong declares, in a very dramatic - and inconsequential - way.
“Being the leader is harder. And besides, you are more trouble than those three put together” Yunho snickers, and runs to Yoochun's rescue before Jaejoong has the time to process his words and make him pay for them.
“What does that mean?!” the older singer yells indignantly, chasing after him, “I'm not!”
Yunho laughs, and he's still laughing when Jaejoong jumps on him from behind and almost sends them both face first into the water. Life's good, he thinks, even if in a very peculiar sort of way.
