I did not vote for Obama because I am democrat or because he is.
I did not vote for Obama because I am a minority or because he is.
I did not vote for Obama because of the school I go to or because of the ones he went to.
I did not vote for Obama because of the socioeconomic class I come from or because of the one he comes from.
I did not vote for Obama for his rhetoric.
I did not vote for Obama because I am young.
I did not vote for Obama because everyone else did.
I voted for Obama because for the America I was raised on. America as a sanctuary, America as a nation for democracy, for ALL. Neither capitalist nor socialist, but a fair and reasonable balance between the two, because neither is all together GOOD or BAD. No one should be waiting endlessly for the wealth to "trickle down."
I am for opportunity. I am for education. I am for intellect. I am for -separation- of church and state.
I followed the platforms, the policies, and the votes in congress. THAT'S HOW I MADE MY DECISION TO VOTE FOR OBAMA.
some promises will not be kept, some proposed legislation will not pass, nothing is guaranteed.
I DO believe that Obama had to be the candidate if I wanted ANYTHING i believed in to remain or became a part of this country.
I thought about it a lot. My decision is not superficial at all.
I was not brainwashed my my parents, the media, or the candidates.
I actually just used MY brain. That's all it took, really.
I think anyone who took 1% of the time I took considering all the factors in this campaign would have made the same decision... unless of course they were still under some grand illusion...
We will see what happens with Obama. I know I made the best decision I could have made.
Maybe anyone who STILL didn't get, will now.
