New Old Town, Aldivy - A farmer's herd of imported dewbacks has been returned after a four day absence. No one knows where the animals went, as no trail was left behind after the disappearance.
"We don't know where they went to! One morning they was there, then next, they weren't! Vanished, completely!" The farmer, who asked to remain nameless, told us.
This is the third time in the last month that this has happened and, in the past, there had been no clues as to the intent or identities of the perpetrators. Officials did find a note this time, but are puzzled about it's meaning. "Everybody's got a waterbuffalo, you know yours is fast but mine is slow. Where did you get them, you ask, I don't know. But everybody's got a waterbuffalo-oh-oh-oh yeah," The offical quoted for the press. "We don't know what this mean because these are dewback and not waterbuffalo. One can only guess at the mental health of those involved."
Rumours abound in New Old Town about space-farers stealing livestock for sinister and unwholesome purposes. Not that we here at HoloNet News want to encourage that sort of talk. Oh no...
