Overall:
989 is better than another 0. I will whittle away at this. Also, my act break-down is getting wonky, simply because I left a padding placeholder in Act 1 and have never bothered to go fill it. I think my 10k per act goal is as close as I can get, all things considered, though it could be a little less heavy on the telling. I need more interactions with actual dialogue.

"What about the transporters," Ronon had suggested after an hour of looking.
"What about them?" McKay replied testily.
"There's no camera looking inside them. Someone could pull that hood over before they chose a location and come out with it up."
Teyla had raised a brow as McKay rolled his eyes. "Great plan, really. But I've already found the person coming off the transporter closest to that storage area."
"Great," Ronon replied, as if his point had been proven.
"The problem," Rodney continued as if Ronon hadn't said anything, "is that with dozens of transporters around the city, our culprit could have gotten on with a bunch of people and stayed on the transporter. Even if they didn't and they got on alone and went right to the storage area, which one of the thousands of people on this city who take solo trips is it? We can't tell which transporter dumps anyone at their destination. The system wasn't designed for that."
"Oh," was all Ronon had said.
As McKay turned back to his computer muttering, Teyla rested a hand on Ronon's arm gently. "It was a good idea, Ronon. Let us try and find another way in which we can identify this person."
That had been more than two hours previous, and Teyla was beginning to get frustrated. With a barely audible sigh, she flipped to the next camera feed and began from the beginning. Teyla had made the suggestion that they each take a time frame to work from to minimize the length of each segment they each had to watch. McKay took the first week and a half, Ronon the next and Teyla the final week and a half. So far, no one had seen anything that could be construed as interesting, though Teyla had discovered some odd habits of members of the expedition that she wished she could un-know.
"I am never again believing her when she denies that she's having an affair with him," Teyla had commented cryptically to no one in particular. Ronon glanced over at her monitor and snickered.
"Don't worry, we already make fun of him for it during sparring practice."
Teyla gave Ronon a mock-horrified look. "And I thought women were bad with teasing their friends over things like this."
"Who the hell are you two talking about?" McKay asked, clearly annoyed at the interruption, yet still sounding a bit grateful for it. Teyla smiled as she saw recognition light up his face as he turned to see who they were gawking at. "Ah, yes. They've been anything but discreet, let me tell you. I swear I've almost caught them making....hello, what have we here?"
