Next Steps

Okay! So all the place holders in my dragon document have been filled.

I now get to tackle the annoying task of family trees for each clan. No names until they crop up in the story, I'm thinking, and then I can assign them to the tree when/if that occurs.

There wouldn't happen to be any (free, if possible) programs besides Excel that I could use for this?

Anyway, tidied up things in my room last week, and found all the bits to one of my cross-stitch kits that I bought and had started, so am trying to finish that. Plowed through the first 4/5ths of Mistress of Dragons at the beginning of last week and hope to finish soon. I'm finding the writing clunky and unorganized in terms of POV in a scene. Which is weird because I don't remember Margaret Weis being like that. Then again, I'm only familiar with the stuff she wrote with Tracy Hickman and I loved it all. and also the writing was a lot tighter and cleaner, too, so whether that was Hickman's influence or what, I don't know.

Oh well :) At least I don't hate my own writing so much after reading Mistress of Dragons.
