And I'm back :) i can't believe it's been amost 2 months since I updated last!

Life is good. I went to NYC for a weekend (which was so incredible!! I want to go back!!)

Also, my dance class had a performance which was super. I was actually nervous before we went on stage (which is odd - I mean I can speak in front of a thousand people and be completely fine but when I have to dance for 2 minutes in front of 50 people I get nervous!) Oh well, the performance was so exciting and as soon as we got off stage I wanted to do it again !! Our teacher won't be teaching next semester which is sad. She was so much fun.

Luke and Kasia came to visit for Thanksgiving. I've never had such a blast on Turkey day. We made so much food. We also decided, for the first time EVER, to get up at 5am the next day to go shopping - like everyone else. We did it purely for the research aspect of it. I can confidently say that I will never do that again. The highlight of the day was when we saw people RUNNING to the store. For what?! a DISCOUNT?! It was hilarious yet also so sad.

My mom came to visit the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. That was also fun. I showed her around the area and she loved it. We also went to An's wedding. I found out, 2 days before the event, that she'd like me to play at it. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to pull it off since I had no music or anyone else to play with (normally I'll at least play with a pianist or other string instruments or someone). But it went REALLY well and An really liked it. My co-workers actually came up to me at the end and were like "why are you coding?!" I thought that was really funny. I miss playing weddings. They're always so much fun.

We have another orchestra concert coming up on the 19th. I'm looking forward to it. Two piano concertos (Rach 2 and one of the Chopin's) in one evening with 2 kids (one's 11 and one's 15) as the soloists should be an awesome concert.

In the past 2 months I've had the opportunity to meet people who happen to just be plain assholes. At first I was very frustrated with this because I've never had to deal with genuine assholes. But now I'm glad I had this opportunity. I'm actually not bitter or angry either. I definitely have learned a lot and I've come to the realization that assholes do exist. I'd been lucky in my life to never have to deal with them but this was a good eye-opener.

I have the best friends. I don't know what I'd do without them.

I watched the movie "Love Actually" twice 2 weekends ago. What I love about this movie is that, although it does have that "feel good" aspect about it, the movie isn't all happy. It shows relationships ending, starting, and going through turmoil. It gets the message across that although love is everywhere, it does come in different forms and can make life very difficult.

This entry is quite scattered. I'll write more structured entries later :)

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
