I love hip hop class. As a matter of fact I just came back from a class and I feel great! It's like aerobics, but with cooler moves and better music :) Tuesdays I take an intro class and Wednesdays I take a level 1. I think the intro might be a bit too easy, but we'll see next week...there are a bunch of other hip hop classes I can take instead :)

Orchestra is fabulous as well. We're playing great music (read: Rach. #2 piano concerto, Smetana's Moldeau, Schubert's Military March #1 and Vaughan-Williams Lark Ascending). Since this is a community orchestra we don't exactly sound like the Pittsburgh Youth, but I'm actually very impressed with some of the musicians. The group has a great deal of potential and I think the concert will be good. The musicians are very nice too. And it turns out that my stand partner's husband works at SVL as well!! What a small world.

I was very bummed about not being able to go back for TOC, but seeing as how it already took place and I felt no pain whatsoever not being there, all is well :) For the record though, if you're in college, looking for a job, think IBM!! I'm so happy at my job it's ridiculous. My group's amazing, the projects are really interesting and I feel like my work is actually making a difference. I don't mind sitting at work at strange late hours either.

We had our dept. picnic last Friday. It feels like just yesterday I was going with my mom to HER dept. picnics. And now I'm having my own. We played pictionary and it turns out I'm quite good at it :p It's such a fun game! I found it hilarious when one of my coworkers came up to me and was like "So how exactly do you pronounce your name? No one in the dept. knows and we keep talking about it." When I started explaining to her, she calls out to everyone "She's telling us how to pronounce her name!" and the ENTIRE dept. crowds around me - think 40 people (another dept. joined us). And then everyone starts practicing how to pronounce my name AT THE SAME TIME. I thought it was the funniest thing. I've been working there 4 WEEKS and no one asked me how to pronounce my name!! hahaha.

Friday was also Nick's party, which I must say was fabulous. Denise even came down for it!! It was so awesome to see her! The party was great and lasted into the wee-hours. At 6am I decided that I was in no state to drive home (who the hell made me designated driver?!?! I'm the worst designated driver EVER!) so we crashed at Nick's.

I don't understand why my parents have to live in the middle of freakin' nowhere. Getting tix home for Christmas has been such a pain in the ass. They're either $600 ( = 3 round trips to NYC) or the layover's like 9 hrs long. But oh well. Hopefully I'll find a ticket before the 23rd of December :-p

It turns out that both my brother and sister are going to visit me for Thanksgiving! That makes me so happy! :)

Sameer is finally IN! That means I can call him whenever :) Well, just not at 5am like I did last weekend :p

I really miss NYC! Today at work I was, on a whim, looking at tickets to NYC and they weren't that expensive! But then I hit myself over the head with a stick and realized that I'm still broke :p

Time to put the dishes away...
