A small rant
The women's hockey team won gold today. Yaaaay! Aglow with athletic patriotism, I went to the Olympic store to see what they had, at which point I discovered that "Team Canada" really means "Men's Team Canada". There are player-specific shirts,keychains and car flags, all for the men's team. There is not one thing that is specific to the women't team. You'd think they'd have at least made a Wickenheiser shirt. After all, she has won a huge number of championships. She's won three consecutive gold Olympic medals. She's the best female hockey player in the world. That's not worthy of an overpriced t-shirt? Apparently not.
(The men's team looked really, really sour watching the women get their medals. They couldn't even pretend to be happy. Classy, guys.)
