It's August, which means it's time for another trip thought the wonder that is the Previews catalogue. Last month was crashingly disappointing, with the only item of interest being the full-scale 30 Days of Night male and female replica vampire skulls.

I was first introduced to the Night Witches in the book "Women in War" by Shelley Saywell, a fascinating book especially memorable for teaching me that the Girl Guides had carried out assassinations during the Polish resistance, an episode that was strangely absent from my Guiding handbook.
