big day out
today i went to my mom's land that she's having logged. i bought some snowshoes last winter and haven't had the chance to use them, so i tried them out for the first time; i like them very much.
my dog is old and can't move around as well as he once could, so i thought the showshoes might do well for breaking him a trail in the deeper powder. unfortunately, they did not. luckily the main logging road is kept more or less plowed, so we stuck to that. overall i think it was an enjoyable experience. also, i took my camera.
i haven't been to the back swamp very much at all, and i found an island in it today.

my fat dog wants to go home.
