Another Ian/Barbara drabble.
He didn’t know how to begin to describe her.
She had the sort of face that would generally be described as ‘striking’ or ‘handsome’.
It was a strong face, but it had a particular elegance, quite attractive in its own way.
She could never be called ‘gorgeous’ but he saw a certain loveliness.
She didn’t have the delicacy to be ‘pretty’; she was far too independent and strong-willed to be considered even remotely ‘cute’ or ‘adorable’.
But as he watched her laugh, he realised that it didn’t matter.
Because he knew that, inside and out, Barbara Wright was beautiful.
