Wake Up Laughing, Gongfu, Snow

Jeez, it wasn't even that bad but it took me 3 hours to get home from Trader Joes which usually takes about a half hour. Oh well, just as it started snowing some push-hands happened with Adam in Laurelhurst. Gongfu is en excellent way to beat the cold, even standing still in particular ways. I've been practicing circle walking and visualizing possible martial applications to sort of random arm motions based on Bagua, Taiji, Wu Shu Long Fist, and Aikido on a daily basis ever since the last meeting where he gave me a refresher lesson in circle walking technique. The regular practice made a huge difference as usually I just block and evade his attacks and only occasionally spot an opening. Today I was finding or creating openings all over the place.

This morning was odd. My whole life dreamland has been a place where anxiety is the most common emotion with full on fear and almost emotionless emptiness with a hint of despair also common. Wish fulfillment is for Freudians. Dreamland is work for an art shaman. Today I woke up laughing after a dream where a woman made fart noises on my face with her breasts. It wouldn't have worked anywhere but dreamland as the physics were wonky, but I woke up laughing so I'm not complaining. Beats waking up scared and/or anxious. Maybe it's the gongfu. I find that the regular practice is starting to invade every aspect of my life like for instance when I change positions in bed I do so automatically based on Bagua movements. I guess it's sinking in.
