So, I went to the library and checked out some books. I got; the disheveled dictionary, jane austen's guide to etiquette, the 120 days of sodom, and philosophy in the bedroom.
The last two are Mariquis de sade's works. I'd always meant to read some of his stuff. So far i'm halfway through philosophy, and I skimmed some of sodom. I find his works to be a tad... silly. The first thing I read in sodom was something along the lines of;
"sir, did you just fart in my face"
"why yes, yes I did sir, I find it to be quite enjoyable"
"Well then, right-o, do it again sir!"
I lol'd
And philosophy just seems like some random man's random fantasy ramblings. NOne of the reactions are realistic, along with the penis sizes.
But from what i've heard of sodom, it should get worse.
Oh, and you know what, I love the princess portal. I fucking love it. Her writing is so good, it's one of the few i've discovered that actually keeps me interested and my imagination flowing. It transports me into another world filled with loveliness, which is always a nice escape from my rather lame and mundane reality.
Speaking of that though, my new years resolution is to "refine" my self somewhat, a little in the direction of victorian etiquette. Why? Because it's fun, and I love to feel and look elegent. I'm planning to read up on ettiquette guides and classic literature/ music. Along with showing proper care to my hygiene, like making sure I shower every other day (haha, is it scary that I don't already? I'm a child of the 90's, what can I say?) make sure to brush my teeth and wash my face every morning and night, and to makesure I have atleast a little make-up done and have styled my hair somehow. I will also stop dressing so scruffy, this will be more easily achieved when i start buying all the lolita dresses I am planning on, ohohoho. Semi-lifestlye lolita? Oh yessss.
Maybe I will drink more tea, I love tea damnit.
Oh, but no amount of refinement will ever fix my dirty mouth, ahahaha~
refinement,
