1) Being an RA
Well, first of all, I am one. I heart being an RA. I have the best floor in the entire world and I’ve met so many amazing people through this experience. It’s especially funny because I didn’t even want to be an RA…my RA last year cornered me in the bathroom and all but forced me to apply. I didn’t want it up to and including the day of the interviews, but as I went through the interview process I realized that I actually did want it. And that has been one of the best decisions of my life.
2) Jodi Picoult books
They are amazing. Enough said. People tend to disregard them as silly/chick lit-y, but if you actually read them they turn about to be very deep. They raise a lot of tough issues and they really make you think. I also love her use of time/character shifts and her surprise endings. I wish I could write like that.
3) Starbucks
Is delicious. And it makes me very happy. Especially when I go on Starbucks dates with Gracie Marie. Those are pretty much the highlight of my summer/school breaks. And they should probably happen more often.
4) Green
Is the best color in the universe. Seriously. Almost everything I own is green and the things that aren’t go well with it. Some people may go so far as to say that I’m obsessed with the color green…which may or may not be true. All I’m saying is that green is a very happy color and it never fails to make my eyes jump for joy.
5) Writing
Oh writing…writing and I have a sort of love/hate relationship. I love writing and it’s ultimately what I want to do with my life. I love to read anything and everything and you can’t read unless someone writes…wow. That statement wins the “duh” award for the day…anyway, the hate part comes in when I try to write something and then get frustrated with it. I’m kind of a perfectionist, which tends to be a bad thing in this case. But still. I love writing. It’s ridiculously fun and every time I do it I learn something new about myself. I wish I could find a way to express the way writing makes me feel, but it’s truly beyond words.
