So I've lived in Montréal, Canada for a little over a month now.
I found a job. I work for a Sports Company. It's pretty cool/funny. There's only one other American and he's from the Bronx. We bonded. I'm known as "Jersey" in the office.
I never thought I had an accent until I moved here and I started hearing it in my own voice. Compared to the French Canadian drawl, I have a THICK AS FUCK Jersey accent.
I still don't know the conversions from Fahrenheit to Celsius very well. Today it was warm out. it was in the upper 30s (fahrenheit).
I've made three friends since I moved here. Two of which are Eagan's friends that I was introduced to. My friend Natasha I met at work. Today we went out for celebratory drinks after passing our test calls at work after a week of orientation with the company. I talked to a few of the girls who work in the credit card department and they're going to see what they can do to get me in there.
Most of my office is made up of frat boys. I make fun of them to their faces and they don't get it. It's lovely.
Then again I can wear a NY Red Bulls jersey to work and it's totally fine. Win Win.

New Years' was a lot of fun. My two friends from NJ- AJ and Nicole, came up for the weekend. My friend Tommy who I met through Eagan, came from Barrie, Ontario, too. We got drunk, laughed a lot, and had a good time over all.
The day AJ and Nicole left was the day my friend Joey and his girlfriend Anna arrived. It was really good seeing Joey. I consider him a good friend of mine, and after they left I was feeling rather mopey but after Eagan reemed me out for three hours I got over it fast haha.
I really love this city... I still have a bitter taste in my mouth from NYC but this city is different. I think it's because I don't have any emotional attachment to it that involves someone else. I wish I didn't have that for NYC but I can't help it. Things ended on such a bad note...
December 29th I went to see American Nightmare in Boston with Eagan, Ruth, and Cody. Ruth and Cody I met through Eagan. They're both good people. Ruth and I have made plans to go out shoe shopping like 'real girls' haha. We were hassled at the border because Cody has the number 13 tattooed to his neck and didn't know what MS-!3 was. Guh. After an hour of them searching us and what not, we were on our way to Boston.
I got to see a slew of people from NJ including Joey Cox, Lauren Gil, Agnes Pietranek, Mike Buscemi, Krystina Buscemi, Joey Cox, John Pierciey, etc.. I got to see people from Boston, Nyc, and Philly, and Halifax too! I free'd up my last ticket of the four so my friend Dylan could come with less than twelve hours notice. It was pretty awesome that he could make it.
I ran into a couple people from the past that I didn't expect to. I had a few positive conversations, many more than I thought I would, and before I knew it, we were on our way back to Canada.
I wish we got to stay in Boston that night. I feel like I left a lot of loose ends. Between running into my ex, and not getting to see friends of mine I REALLY REALLY wanted to see... it was an interesting evening, to say the least.

Shortly after I moved here I found out some things people had said about me at my own 'going away' party... shame on you.
I'm pretty happy with where I am right now. And I'm not sorry for anything I do/say for the first time in my life. You can say I ran from my problems, but at least I'm moving...
